Tough Viking – One of the most awesome obstacle races in the world

We are introducing a new race format at Kungl. Djurgården on August 22, 2026.
Tough Viking Kungl. Djurgården 5K is a shorter, high-intensity obstacle race that runs on bits of our classic course. Built to deliver the core Tough Viking experience in a more compact format, the 5K combines speed, strength, and teamwork across a selection of our signature obstacles.
Whether you’re new to obstacle racing or looking for a faster challenge, the 5K is designed to be both accessible and demanding.

Join us for an expanded race day experience — same venue, same intensity, new format.

Tough Viking is introducing team classes for the 2026 season. You can now choose to compete individually or together with others in Duo, Trio, or Team.

This means you can share the experience with your teammates, support each other through the course’s challenging obstacles, and compete for team rankings. Duo is perfect for pairs, Trio is ideal for teams of three, and Team allows you to gather a larger group – such as friends, colleagues, or training partners. All participants receive an individual finishing time, while team results are calculated according to the rules of each class.

How to Register

When registering, select your class under Open in the registration system:

• Open Female (1 participant)
• Open Male (1 participant)
• Duo Mix (2 participants)
• Duo Female (2 participants)
• Duo Male (2 participants)
• Trio (3 participants)
• Team (4 participants or more)

To compete in Duo, Trio, or Team, all participants must:

• choose the same team name, and
• select the same start group.

All participants will automatically be placed into the correct age group based on their date of birth.

All our races are open for sign up 2026. We are looking forward to deliver our awesome and legendary races again.

Become a Certified Judge

The most common judging task during an OCR race is to stand at an obstacle and check that runners complete the obstacle correctly (e.g. do not land on the ground inside the obstacle or use unauthorized parts of the obstacle structure on their way through the obstacle).
