WELCOME TO THE OCR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

The official world championship in obstacle course racing, hosted by Tough Viking, the Swedish Athletics Federation, and Göteborg & Co, will take place in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg. The start and finish areas will be located at Slottsskogsvallen, creating a world-class arena for both participants and spectators. The races will also be accessible for fans to follow throughout Slottsskogen, where much of the course will be set. The championship is expected to attract thousands of participants and visitors from around the world, making it one of the largest OCR events in Swedish history.  Athletes from 140 nations will gather to compete for glory on a course that offers everything from technical obstacles to physical endurance – all in the heart of one of Gothenburg’s most beloved parks.

OCR World Championships 2025 – OPEN FOR EVERYONE
Experience the thrill of the World Championship courses in our Open Classes!
Designed for everyone, these races let you enjoy the OCRWC course without the need for qualification. Whether you’re a first-timer, a weekend warrior, or an experienced OCR enthusiast, the Open Classes are your chance to challenge yourself, have fun, and make unforgettable memories.

The Tough Viking races are sanctioned by Svenska Friidrottsförbundet.
This information applies to those who intend to qualify for the European/World Championships or the Elite class. If this is the case, you should sign up for the Competition/Age Group. If you wish to participate in Tough Viking as a recreational runner and do not intend to qualify, sign up for the Open class. Of course, you will still have your time recorded even in the Open class. Most participants in Tough Viking do so in the Open class.
The regular Open class is not affected by this. Everything remains the same as before.
